Brew and Banter every other Friday at the Copthorne Hotel 10:30 – 12:00

Bacon Roll Mornings Every other Friday at the Hub. 10:00 – 12:00

Bingo 1st Wednesday of each month at Mannamead Wellbeing Hub. 17:30 -19:30

Unpaid Carers Support Group 1st Thursday of each month 13:00 – 15:00

Description

We have a team of four staff and regular volunteers (all of whom are from the Veteran community) who can provide a wide range of support which includes:

Employment, Housing Support, Unpaid Carers Support – Including Statutory assessments / liaising with Adult Social Care, Welfare Benefits – PIP applications, AA Applications, Universal Credit, UC50, Blue Badge, Bus Pass etc., Social activities – Brew and Banter, Bingo, Carers support, plus seasonal activities.

Peer support and mentoring – one to one support through weekly phone calls, and face to face appointments. Information, advice, and guidance. Improved pathways for veterans to create wider support around the city.

We work with a range of organisations to holistically support a Veteran and their family to achieve goals and set aspirations for their future.

Delivery Partners in support

We work in partnership with Plymouth City Council, SSAFA, Help for Heroes, Royal British Legion, Blind Veterans, Blesma, Battling On, Smart Savings, Op Nova, Op Courage, Defence Medical Welfare Service, RNA, The Royal Marines Charity, Naval Childrens Charity, Shelter, Livewell Southwest, Department of Working Pensions Armed Forces Champions.

Improving Lives Plymouth also offer a range of other services including casework alongside Advice Plymouth.
