Convention 23

Following the positive response to last year’s conference, we are returning to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds this June. Once again, you will have the opportunity to meet with ASDIC members from across the UK and network with and learn from organisations from across the veteran welfare sector. Based on your feedback, this year’s event will be more interactive, with more opportunities to network and get involved through panel discussions, workshops, and tabletop stands in our new exhibition area.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided on both days and all attendees are invited to an evening reception in the War Gallery of the Royal Armouries Museum on the first night of the convention.

Workshop Topics and Panel Discussions will Include:

  • Governance and safeguarding
  • Funding for the smaller organisation
  • Social prescribing
  • Marketing and communications
  • Understanding your social impact and methodologies for calculating social return on investment – SROI
  • The unique style and strength of this network
  • ASDIC’s current position and plans for the future

“Meeting face to face with so many friends and associates I have only met online in the last two years or at all. Great speakers, great venue and awesome networking!”

Accommodation

Holiday Inn Express – Royal Armouries

The convention hotel is the Holiday Inn Express – Royal Armouries, conveniently located directly opposite the museum on Armouries Square. There are also many other hotels to suit every budget within easy reach of the venue.

“The evening reception was a great way to network and discuss the day’s presentations. The entertainment was a great idea and the drinks selection made it all the more enjoyable.”

Exhibiting

Why not take part in our exhibition area in Royal Armouries Hall?

ASDIC members and participants in the VPPP Programme (Strategic and Portfolio Leads) are eligible for a free tabletop pitch. For everyone else, you can still book a tabletop for a minimal fee.

To book now go to our Eventbrite site using the button below and add a tabletop to your order as part of the attendee registration process – free to all. If you are not eligible for a free pitch, payment will be taken for your tabletop stand during the booking process. Numbers are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

There are a few space-only opportunities available too – please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Don’t delay, take advantage of the early bird rate – ends on the 7th of April.
