Description
At the Gordon Messenger Centre, we are proud to be a steadfast and inclusive hub for not only the Royal Marines Corps family, but also the entire Armed Forces community. Our mission is to nurture a sense of belonging and stability, offering tailored support that strengthens resilience across all stages of military life and beyond. Whether you are a young child, a serving member, a veteran or a loved one, we are here to ensure you feel connected, empowered and truly valued – today and always.
The ‘Gordon Messenger Centre – Enabling a More Resilient RM Family’ (GMC) is an MOD facility, situated outside the wire, opposite CTCRM; geographically convenient for those locally-based, whilst providing the opportunity to enhance existing CTCRM-events attracting the wider Corps-family.
A New Hub for the entire Royal Marines Family. Situated just on the other side of the road from CTCRM.
The centre will support serving Royal Marines, Veterans, their families and the wider RM Community through a variety of events, activities and groups. Some of these are regular activities, others are based on want and demand.
These include:
• Coffee Mornings
• Family Groups supported by Aggies Pastoral Workers
• Play Groups and a rolling calendar to celebrate annual events
• Social events inc Cooking sessions, Art Groups, Book Clubs, Garden Club, Jewellery Making, Fitness Classes, wellbeing days, baby massage, Lego workshops
• Veterans Café
• Veterans Craft mornings and wellbeing
• Drop-In sessions with the Navel Childrens Charity, Vets UK and National Families Federation
• Military Wives Choir
