Description
Specialist mental health treatment, rehousing, help with war pensions and benefits. Disability welfare needs, stairlifts and wet rooms. The Veterans Association UK originally opened in 2011 and I closed it down when I retired in June 2019. During this period I received many phone calls for help and both myself and many of my VA colleagues continued to help the veterans and I rehoused one during the period I was closed down. I have also rehoused another Veteran this week making a total of 170 veterans rehoused, over 1,000 veterans obtained mental health treatment with the Human Givens team and the Military Veterans IAP team. 12 veterans now have stairlifts and wet rooms and 47 war pension acquired for Veterans and over 100 benefits such as PIP acquired for Veterans through the VAUK.
